Out Of Hours

Out Of Hours

The out-of-hours service is provided by IC24, contracted by the Primary Care Trust.

Dial the surgery telephone number and you will be automatically diverted to the call centre when. the surgery is closed.

You will be given an appointment time at the out-of-hours clinic, provided with a home visit or given medical advice as appropriate.

This service is for emergencies only.

If you require medical advice, phone 111 and you will automatically be transferred to the free NHS 111 Service. Please use this service outside of Practice hours and if you need medical help fast but it's not a life-threatening emergency.

You may then be:

  1. given advice over the phone
  2. asked to attend a local Primary Care Centre
  3. offered a home visit

As considered appropriate for you.

NHS Walk-in Centres: Open seven days a week from 7.00am to 10.00pm.

Very useful for a wide range of healthcare advice and treatment.

NHS 111: Call 111 for free NHS advice.

Please use this service outside of Practice hours and if you need medical help fast but it's not a life-threatening emergency.
