OTHER INFORMATION

PRIVATE PATIENTS
We welcome private patients. When booking your appointment be sure to let the receptionist know that you are a private patient.

Please note that it is not possible to register private and NHS.

OUT OF HOURS
The out-of-hours service is provided by Essex Ambulance and Care UK, contracted by the Primary Care Trust.

Dial the surgery telephone number and you will be automatically diverted to the call centre when the surgery is closed.

Depending on your condition, you will be given an appointment time at the out-of-hours clinic (at Southend Hospital), provided with a home visit or given medical advice.

This service is for emergencies only.

PARKING
There is a large convenient public car park just 100 metres from the surgery in Rectory Road. Patients must not park on the surgery forecourt as this may cause an obstruction to vehicles required for a medical emergency.

FREEDOM OF INFORMATION – PUBLICATION SCHEME
The Freedom of Information Act 2000 obliges the practice to produce a Publication Scheme. A Publication Scheme is a guide to the ‘classes’ of information the practice intends to routinely make available.

This scheme is available from reception.

ZERO TOLERANCE
We strongly support the NHS policy on zero tolerance. Anyone attending the surgery who abuses the GPs, staff or other patients be it verbally, physically or in any threatening manner whatsoever, will risk removal from the practice list. In extreme cases we may summon the police to remove offenders from the practice premises.
